From our clinicsto yours.

We were solicitors before we were clinic owners. Everything we advise on, we have had to work out ourselves, usually with our own money on the line and a lease already signed.

Our story

We have beenwhere you are.

We did not arrive at clinic consultancy from a business school or a marketing agency. We arrived at it from our own clinics, having made the decisions, signed the agreements and paid for the mistakes.

One of those clinics is Empress Skin & Laser, shown opposite. We opened it, built its team and still run it today, and everything in this section happened there first, before it happened for a single Clinic Launch Co. client.

We know what it feels like to be handed a set of heads of terms you do not fully understand, to be quoted for equipment by someone who only sells one machine, and to open a diary in week one that is emptier than the forecast said it would be.

None of that is unusual. It is what opening a clinic actually involves, and almost none of it is covered by treatment training. That gap is the reason this consultancy exists.

So when we talk about premises, pricing, recruitment or the first ninety days of trading, we are not repeating theory. We are telling you what happened to us, what it cost, and what we would do differently.

First hand, not second hand

Work we have doneourselves.

This is the single thing that separates us from a consultant who has read about clinics. Every area below is one we have had to handle personally, in our own businesses, with the consequences landing on us.

Premises and landlords

Finding sites, reading commercial terms, sitting opposite agents and landlords, and working out what a space really costs once it is fitted out and trading.

Equipment and suppliers

Specifying devices, comparing manufacturers, reading finance and warranty terms, opening supplier accounts and planning opening stock.

Insurance and setup

The structural work behind the doors opening: business setup, cover, consent and the paperwork a clinic is expected to hold.

Recruitment

Writing the roles, interviewing practitioners, setting pay that still works at capacity, and keeping a team once it is in place.

Treatment menus and pricing

Building menus around demand, margin and delivery time, then pricing them so they hold their value instead of being discounted into the ground.

Branding

Deciding what the clinic stands for, what it looks like, and how it reads to the person choosing between you and the clinic down the road.

Marketing and client acquisition

Pre opening campaigns, social content, local visibility and the unglamorous work of filling a diary in the first weeks of trading.

Operational systems

Booking platforms, consultation and aftercare journeys, records, stock control and the daily processes that keep a clinic running without you in the room.

A deliberate choice

We could have builta franchise. We chose not to.

The obvious commercial move, once you have opened clinics and written down how you did it, is to franchise the model. Sell the name, sell the manual, take a share of every clinic that opens under it.

Franchise arrangements commonly involve an upfront fee, ongoing royalties, a share of turnover and central control over how you operate. That can suit some people. It did not sit right with us, because the person taking the real risk is the person opening the clinic.

So the model here is simple. You pay a fee for a defined piece of work, we do that work with you, and the business that comes out of it is entirely yours. Our involvement ends when the engagement ends.

What stays with you
